Lights Out Interactive is excited to announce that our founder Dennis Dinsmore will be presenting at the 2018 WordCamp Phoenix on February 17.

Dinsmore has developed WordPress websites since 2010 and became an active part of the WordPress community in 2015. Since then, he has organized the Advanced WordPress Developer Meetup and attended that last two Phoenix WordCamps.

At this year’s WordCamp, Dinsmore will present a session on “Spinning up local sites with Local by Flywheel,” helping developers build better quality sites websites in less time. This talk follows Dinsmore’s selection as a backup speaker at the 2017 WordCamp Phoenix.

Here is the complete description of his presentation:

Making changes on a live server is always risky. And when things go wrong, it’s not easy to diagnose the problems. You can set up a staging server for changes, but you still have to deploy files, and that takes time.

Spinning up a local environment is essential for WordPress development. And it’s also very easy to do, thanks to Local by Flywheel.

I will show you how to quickly spin up a local site. We will cover SSL, debugging, database management, and other features to help you safely build better quality WordPress sites in less time.

Stay tuned for the WordCamp Phoenix 2018 schedule to see when Dinsmore will be presenting.
